"Pain, received with faith, becomes the door by which to enter the mystery of the redmptive suffering of Jesus and to reach with him the peace and happiness of his resurrection."
Re: Pope Benedict on Suffering There is a certain pain which women suffer regularly - -it's not easy to remember that it is good for one. So good to be old enough not to get it! :-)
Re: Pope Benedict on Suffering The only thing that kept me going during months of pain was repeating the "Our Father" and the Hail Mary... I would have been in complete dispair without that. Mary held my hand. She was my mother when I needed her. I am everlasting in her debt. Our Lord was my strength.

So easy to say, but so hard to do when you are in extreme physical pain for months and months. :-(
